Dr. Michael Hout

On this week’s episode of Science Studio, Dr. Keith Pannell sits down with Dr. Michael Hout to discuss his work as an Associate Dean, his research in memory and cognition, as well as his presentation for the screening of Oliver Sacks: His Own Life at the Fountain Theater in Mesilla New Mexico.

Dr. Michael C. Hout is an Associate Dean of Research at the NMSU College of Health, Education, and Social Transformation. The main focus of his research is on visual cognition such as visual search, attention, eye movement control, and computational modeling.

London, England’s Dr. Keith Pannell created Science Studio in 1987 and has hosted the show for more than thirty years. With a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Pannell provides listeners with a unique insight on the sciences. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at UTEP.
Olivia Williams is a volunteer at KTEP who is a Board Operator for Fresh Air once a week. She is also a producer at KTEP, editing Science Studio for the station.
