John Cochran wrote this book to share the experience of parental addiction and the connection of the healing process within the family and how it brings them together and more stronger. This story introduces us to our main character “Reese” who is a seventh-grader from North Carolina. Reese is one who tends to his loving hobbies, and his charismatic parents, until one day he comes back from school to see his father on the ground due to an overdose. Later in the book there have been some complications with him and his mother, Reese is hoping and wishing for his father's recovery.
