On this edition of The Weekend, Louie Saenz talks with Dr. Jose Villalobos about his new presentation “Beyond Borders.” In this episode, Louie and Jose both speak about community engagement, global citizenship and how in this lifetime people agree and don't agree with many things in the life of social divisions.
Dr. Jose Villalobos is a professor at UTEP who teaches political science. People have a sense of empathy and have the knowledge of the division within politics. This is where people become more optimistic within their opinions and the information they gain within the community. This is when Dr. Jose connects and engages with his students in order for them to feel empowered and change things with our future generations. It is to start motivating others to think in a positive manner, to help others see things in a different perspective. To start getting empowered to find their way, what issues matter to them, what are ways to fix them and ways to come together and connect. To create a destructive dialogue.
