Daniel Chacon; The Last Philosopher in Texas

utep.edu

On this edition of The Weekend, Louie Saenz talks with guest Daniel Chacon about his newest book “The Last Philosopher in Texas.” He shares how his book shares the illusions of the possibility of magic that is gathered with the pain and joy in our daily lives. Daniel shares the times of when he was in California and the experiences he had while being from there. He states on how he can not help but keep having the image of his childhood, the scenes like a movie, scenes of projection in his head. He comes to agree and shares how he and his daughter live in such a different generation, the technology was different, mindsets, the lingo and how times have just changed. In his newest book, the setting is in the Texas-Mexico Region and he gives an explanation on how he became so creative with “The Last Philosopher in Texas,” with not only imagination but with experience and information! Come and listen to more here at KTEP with the Weekend Perspective with host Louie Saenz and guest Daniel Chacon!
