“It all started with a kid dreaming of being a street cleaner”, Professor Vladik Kreinovich shares how he desired to clean street snow in the early mornings and his passion then took a turn when he noticed he was not as good in cleaning as he was in math. From obtaining an M.S in Mathematics and a B.S in Computer Science in the St. Petersburg University in his hometown, earning a PhD in Mathematics in the Soviet Academy of Sciences in Novosibirsk and now teaching Computer Science at the 3, Dr. Kreinovich shares the journey that he went through while moving from his motherland to the U.S and the difficulties this brought to his professional career.
Dr. Vladik Kreinovich is currently a Computer Science Professor in the University of Texas at El Paso.
