In this interview, we sit down with cellist John Henry Crawford, and pianist Victor Asuncion to talk about their special performance of "Corazón", an album that celebrates the music of Latin America, taking the listener on a musical journey to through Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, and Mexico.
Cellist John-Henry Crawford has been lauded for his “polished charisma," and was named the Young Artist of the Year by the Classical Recording Foundation. Pianist Victor Asuncion, recognized for his "poised and imaginative playing," has performed around the world with musical luminaries and performed in El Paso alongside the late Lynn Harrell, in his final performance. Victor is also the Director of the FilAm Music Foundation, dedicated to promoting Filipino classical musicians through scholarship and performance.
Brought by El Paso Pro Musica, both artists will be performing Thursday February 29, at 7:30 p.m. at UTEP’s Fox Fine Arts Recital Hall.
