KTEP's Paul Castro welcomes to the KTEP studios Doctor Leslie Robbins, Dean of the College of Nursing, to talk about their Raise Your Pick Giving Day initiatives.
For nearly 50 years, the UTEP College of Nursing has been preparing the best and brightest nurses in our region. On Raise Your Pick Giving Day, the College of Nursing is asking alumni and the community to help remove barriers to an excellent education and empower the next generation of nurses by supporting student scholarships.
When nursing students can focus on their studies and complete their degrees, they enter the workforce quicker and more industry-ready to serve and make quality care more accessible in our region. Furthermore, the College of Nursing Simulation Lab is a critical learning resource for UTEP nursing students helping them practice patient care before their clinical rotations. Supporting the College of Nursing Simulation Lab will give students access to the latest equipment and technology that prepares them to successfully serve our community after graduation.
