LIMBS International: 5K Run and Mile Walk

KTEP's Sam Cassiano welcomes to the KTEP Studios Jonathan Román, Executive Director of LIMBS International, to talk about their upcoming fundraiser 5k Run and Mile Walk to support amputees in the community and developing countries. Jonathan also talks about his experience working with the organization and the joy of looking at their impact first hand.

LIMBS International develops and distributes its own prosthetic technologies and facilitates Community-Based rehabilitation programs to help amputees regain their mobility and everyday life.

Sam Cassiano is a native Californian who spent his formative years in the Bay Area. An army brat, his family toured Germany and Japan before settling in El Paso in 1973. Initially a Communications Major at UTEP, a radio internship at KPAS-FM 94, the PASS launched his broadcasting career. He can be heard as the morning news anchor on KTEP during NPR's Morning Edition, and Friday evenings at 10 pm as the host of Friday Night Blues.
Charlize Mercado manages website content and does On-Air work for KTEP, where she ensures that the broadcast has the proper levels and runs smoothly, so that listeners can make the most of their days.
