Host Daniel Chacón and his guest Kalina Gallardo talk to the theoretical physicist Chanda Prescod-Weinstein. They discuss topics ranging from growing up in East Los Angeles, the writing process, and her important book, The Disordered Cosmos: A Journey Into Dark Matter, Spacetime, and Dreams Deferred.

Chanda Prescod-Weinstein is an Assistant Professor of Physics and a Core Faculty Member in Women’s and Gender Studies at the University of New Hampshire. She works at the intersection of particle physics and astrophysics. Her book won a 2021 Los Angeles Times Book Prize, a 2022 PEN Oakland Josephine Miles Literary Award, and the 2022 Phi Beta Kappa Award for Science.
