We Are UT El Paso - Heather Wilson

Keith Pannell starts this new series with Heather Wilson, the daughter of immigrants and the first in her family to attend college. Both her father and grandfather were pilots. She joined the United States Air Forces Academy and graduated in 1982. Later she earned a Rhodes Scholarship and went on to earn a Doctorate in Philosophy. As President of the University of Texas at El Paso, she discusses the impact the university has on the community and how she sees the future for the institution.

Heather Wilson is an academic administrator serving as the president of the University of Texas at El Paso. She previously served as the 24th secretary of the United States Air Force from 2017 through 2019.
