Saturdays at 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
For those interested in joining, the Vinyasa yoga class is excellent for your health; it keeps you active and helps reduce stress. This class is regularly hosted at the Pat O'Rourke Recreation Center at 901 Virginia St., El Paso, TX 79901. Join Rebecca as she leads her vinyasa style class through a series of poses your body will thank you for! Call 915-533-5147 for more information.

Learn about oral histories your culture and borderlands and public history with Dr. Yolanda Chávez Leyva is a Chicana/ fronteriza historian. She is Professor in the Department of History at the University of Texas at El Paso where she specializes in border history, Chicane history, and public/ oral history. Between 2015- 2026, she served as the Director of the Institute of Oral History, a bicultural/bilingual research center focusing on the lives of border people.

In 2010, she co-founded Museo Urbano, a community museum located in the Segundo Barrio, one of the most significant historic Mexican immigrant neighborhoods in the United States. The museum won the National Council on Public History "Best Public History Project Award" in 2013. In 2019, she co-curated “Uncaged Art from the Tornillo Detention Center,” which featured artwork created by Central American youth detained in an emergency influx center outside El Paso.

Celebrate the culture of water at the 2026 Water Festival on Saturday, September 19, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Tech2O! This FREE family-friendly event offers a day of music, dance, art, educational exhibits, community resources, hands-on make-and-take activities, and interactive displays from El Paso Water and community partners. Visitors can explore El Paso Water trucks, learn about water conservation, and discover the vital role water plays in our desert community. Kids ages 14+ and adults will also have the rare opportunity to tour the Kay Bailey Hutchison Desalination Plant, the largest inland desalination plant in the world. Bring the whole family for a fun-filled day of learning, entertainment, and celebration at one of El Paso's premier community events!

Join us for some theatrical fun! Feel like stretching your creative muscles? Join us for some scene work, monologues, duets, etc.! No experience required. Just come out and join in the fun and meet some new people! Great opportunity to network and check something off your bucket list to see if you get bitten by the theatre bug. Already experienced? Join us and share your experiences and expertise! This event is FREE. Be sure to also check out the excellent craft beers, wine, and food that Mountain Star Brewing has to offer!
