In the realm of contemporary ceramics, this Mata Ortiz exhibition invites audiences to witness the evolution of this distinct style that seamlessly blends tradition with modern and contemporary innovation. Showcasing the artistry of over 25 potters, the exhibit spotlights the generous contribution of early Mata Ortiz ceramics and prints by Juan Quezada by Lysbeth Warren Anderson to the NMSU Permanent Art Collection.

KICKOFF BIKE MONTH WITH SUNCYCLE- We invite you to join us on a Cinco De Mayo brewery bike ride. On May 3rd, you will have the chance to cycle to two local breweries, Old Sheepdog and DeadBeach, where you can enjoy drinks, food, and music. This is a great way to explore the city and celebrate Cinco De Mayo in Bike Month. Don't miss out on this fun and unique event!

The Copa Consulado aims to provide a recreational space for children and young adults, while also promoting the physical and emotional well-being of the binational community. The event also serves as a platform to showcase the talent of the region to various teams within the Mexican league.
Matches will be played from 8 am to 8 pm on both days. Additionally, a community fair with various free and family-friendly activities will be held from 9 am to 2 pm on Saturday, May 4th.
The event will be inaugurated on Saturday, May 4th at 11 am, with the Consul General of Mexico in El Paso, Mauricio Ibarra Ponce de León, accompanied by the president of El Puma Soccer Club, and co-organizer of the Consulate Cup, Jesús "Chuy" Enríquez, kicking off the event with a traditional ball kick.
The Consulate General of Mexico in El Paso hopes to promote physical activity among the community, support the development of sports skills in children and youth, and encourage the sports talent of the Paso del Norte region.

Evolution will be on view from May 4 through May 25. Works are for sale by the artist.All are invited to the opening reception on Saturday, May 4, from 1-4 pm. The exhibition and opening are free and open to the public.
