Emergence Health Network

emergencehealthnetwork.org

In this edition of El Paso Prime time, Richard Dayoub, from Thunderbird Management, is joined in the studio by El Paso’s Emergence Health Network CEO, Kristen Daugherty, and Chief of Staff, Rene Hurtado, to talk about who they are and what they do to serve the community as a local mental health and mental disability authority in El Paso. They also discuss how they operate as a crisis response system and offer services on mental health, suicide prevention, and substance use addiction. Dealing with two different patient populations with different special needs, they have special programs tailored to them and are partnered with school districts to educate and support mental health as well as provide training.

The Emergence Health Network (EHN) provides trauma-informed care centered around the needs of individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, behavioral health and/or substance use treatment needs. Designated as the Local Mental Health Authority (LMHA) and Local Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities Authority (LIDDA) in El Paso County, EHN offers a wide array of programs at multiple locations throughout the area. EHN is Joint Commission Accredited and recognized as Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics.

If you, or anyone you know is thinking about suicide call or text the suicide crisis line 988.
