In this edition of El Paso Prime Time, Richard Dayoub from Thunderbird Management is joined by Cathy Gaytan, the CEO of the El Paso Child Guidance Center to talk about the critical services they provide to our youth with mental health and trauma challenges and the impact this can have on our community. They also discuss how they are always adapting to the changes that children and youth are exposed to in our current time and their four main programs centered around mental health.
The El Paso Child Guidance Center is committed to being a Trauma-Informed organization. It is the intention of the El Paso Child Guidance Center to maintain self-awareness of our behavior, attitudes and emotions and their impact on the people around us, practice cultural humility and adjust our responses to acknowledge and appreciate the other person’s perspective, maintain confidentiality, create a welcoming environment, and to acknowledge every individual’s responsibility for self-care and support their wellness by providing opportunities and resources.
