On this week’s Good to Grow, hosts Denise, Jan and John will go through part 1 of their Preparing your Plants for the Winter episode. Plant Freeze prevention is important due to the unexpected weather that our desert region has. So take note of the different techniques that our Master Gardeners have to offer to bundle up your plants for the winter.
Master Gardener Pro Tip: Remember not to cover up your plants with plastic as they will fry up with our desert sun, rather use thrifted bed sheets or newspaper. This and many more tips on this week’s edition of Good to Grow!
The El Paso County Master Gardeners started in 1981 and has been growing with many volunteers and Master Gardeners ever since. The love of gardening and search for knowledge are primary reasons people join the program to become trained and certified Master Gardeners. Texas Master Gardeners are united in name, but the program’s strength lies in its ability to meet the diverse needs of the communities it serves.
