Matt Hranek joins host Louie Saenz in sharing his newest book “A Man and His Kitchen.” He comes into detail on how his childhood was and how he began loving to cook. He gets into how men have enjoyed being in the kitchen and breaking that stereotype of only having women in the kitchen.
Matt grew up in an Italian family and always enjoyed watching his mother's family cook in the kitchen and had a love for food. He loved watching cooking shows growing up. Matt explains how in his culture, if you do not accept their families' food, you most likely are not accepting their affection either. Thus, food is a huge ideal for not just his family and culture, but for himself as well. Matt also tells a story about how he used to have a teacher pay him for his food, and buy his lunch.
