In the realm of contemporary ceramics, this Mata Ortiz exhibition invites audiences to witness the evolution of this distinct style that seamlessly blends tradition with modern and contemporary innovation. Showcasing the artistry of over 25 potters, the exhibit spotlights the generous contribution of early Mata Ortiz ceramics and prints by Juan Quezada by Lysbeth Warren Anderson to the NMSU Permanent Art Collection.

The International Museum of Art is honored to host Evolution, the work of local artist and trailside impressionist, Nina C. Walker in her first solo show since 2018. This exhibit will feature views painted from her mountainside studio and more.
Evolution will be on view from May 4 through May 25. Works are for sale by the artist.All are invited to the opening reception on Saturday, May 4, from 1-4 pm. The exhibition and opening are free and open to the public.

The film follows beleaguered coach Greg Townsend (Matthew Modine) as he rounds up an unlikely crew of incarcerated students for a seemingly impossible bike ride from Denver to the Grand Canyon.
Spend a relaxing day at the International Museum of Art with a free cello concert. On Saturday, May 11 at 2 pm, UTEP music students will explore the sound of Latin America and Spain. All are welcome at the performance. Seating is available, but limited to a first-come, first-served basis.
