  • Daniel Chacón’s collection of stories, Unending Rooms, was the 2007 winner of the Hudson Prize. He has also been awarded the American Book Award, the Chris Isherwood Foundation Grant, and the Southwest Book Award. His first collection of stories, Chicano Chicanery was a finalist in the Patterson Fiction Prize and his novel and the shadows took him is available from Simon and Schuster. His new book is a collection of stories called Hotel Júarez: Stories, Rooms and Loops. He’s a professor of Fiction Writing, Kafka, and Latino/a literature in the Creative Writing Department at UTEP.

  • Louie Saenz has been in the news broadcasting business for over thirty years. He has been a News Anchor and Reporter for KDBC-TV, KOAT-TV in Albuquerque, NM and KTSM-TV in El Paso. Saenz earned a degree in Journalism from NMSU, and a Masters in Communication from UTEP. He was the News & Public Affairs Director for KTEP-FM, and a lecturer in the Communication Department. He is also the host of Focus on Campus and co-host on El Paso Prime Time. Louie retired on October of 2024.
  • Miguel Morales graduated from UTEP with a Masters in Communication on May 2024.
  • Arely Avitia manages website content, graphic design and is part of the student outreach team. She works with audio producers to update production archives and news content, as well as maintain reporting for music licensing.
