Summer blockbusters continue to draw audiences back to the big screen, offering moviegoers the chance to experience larger-than-life stories the way they were meant to be seen. From superhero spectacles to independent filmmaking, the theater experience remains an important part of how audiences connect with cinema.

On this edition of On Film, co-host Carlos de la Torre is joined by guest Oscar Garza to discuss two summer releases, Spider-Man: Brand New Day and The End of Oak Street. Together, they share what made both films memorable, reflect on the joy of seeing movies in theaters, and explain why Spider-Man: Brand New Day is best experienced on the big screen.

This program originally aired on August 15, 2026.
