KTEP's Daisy Morales welcomes to the studios Paul Sanchez, member of the board of the UTEP Alumni Association to talk about their Raise Your Pick Giving Day Initiatives.
Since its inception, the UTEP Alumni Association has made it its mission to support UTEP students in their academic endeavors. Alumni Association efforts became realized when it granted its first annual scholarship of $150.00. Look forward decades later, today, the Alumni Association continues to go strong in its philanthropic spirit of giving back and currently awards ten (10) student scholarships a year.
On Raise Your Pick UTEP Giving Day, they are asking proud fellow alumni and the community to support the efforts of the association and give back to this important tradition of philanthropy. This will support the dreams of current and future UTEP students and enable them to receive access to an excellent education.
