State of the Arts is a weekly 30-minute program focusing on the arts community of El Paso. Hosted by dedicated art enthusiast Marina Monsisvais, State of the Arts provides listeners with a behind-the-scenes glimpse of how creativity is shaping our community.

Marina interviews local visual artists, writers, dancers, singers, actors and directors, as well as regional talent exhibiting or performing in El Paso. The show gets to the heart of what inspires and drives artists to do what they love best.

  • The Forum Theatre at El Paso Community College proudly presents Henrik Ibsen's timeless classic, A Doll's House. Performances will be staged from November 14th through November 23, 2025.

  • It’s time to get ready for the Great American Rockabilly Riot, a Kustom Kulture Extravaganza. The event takes place on November 8, 2025 under the Spaghetti Bowl, and is free and open to the public.

  • Fox Labyrinth is turning 15 and they’re celebrating with a Quinceañera! We’re invited to the party on October 25 and 26, 2025 for two days of music, local vendors, food, and kids’ activities.
  • The University Art Museum at New Mexico State University presents Necessary Futures, featuring three artists whose work confronts the impacts of mass incarceration, capitalism, and colonialism.
  • For 95 years, the El Paso Symphony Orchestra has cultivated community through classical music. The Orchestra recently kicked off their 95th season in September, and there’s a lot more to come.
  • El Paso Ballet Theatre will be performing excerpts of the great ballets Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Gissele and Don Quixote with live orchestra at the Plaza Theatre on October 4, 2025.
  • The Tom Lea Celebration is back and the 2025-26 edition is better than ever.This year the Celebration brings exhibitions, walking tours, book signings and more to the area.
