On this week’s show, Denise, John, and Jan are live at the FloraFest held at UTEP giving out information about the plants being purchased and information booths being held there for the guests attending. This event has been designed to sell plants to fellow gardeners that are ready to grow and plant for the fall and winter seasons within their gardens. We also give advice on growing and taking care of your plants, such as getting your purchased plants in the ground, readying the soil and size of the placement, watering your plants as well, and much more. Denise and the others will also provide more updates and information on the El Paso County Master Gardeners programs that will be available for anyone to attend.

Since 1981, The El Paso County Master Gardener has been active throughout the community, giving gardening tips to other Master Gardeners or other gardeners with the same passion and strive. Although the size of members varies, the program is increasing in numbers with new applications from local gardeners. Over 6,000 Master Gardeners are stationed all over Texas with over 400,000 hours contributed to helping out and giving back to their community
